Despite the darkening sky and the light rain that was clearly on its way to becoming a downpour, Hazel paused to reach for an apple.

Aunt Marie had the door open before it was even in his hand.

"Get in here before you get yourself soaked to the bone," she said with the tiniest of smiles.

Hazel tucked the apple into his bag and stepped inside. The old stone floor didn't mind getting wet, though quickly, there was a towel for him...

And the smell of fresh pie.

He'd come with a delivery, but... he'd stay til the rain stopped.
