"You have a package from Lumen," Dwen said, gesturing to a wrapped bundle on the table by the door Jan had just walked through.

Jan blinked, leaning to see what had been left for him and then realizing...

"Thank you," he managed, not quite looking Dwen in the eyes as he crossed the room to drop off the forms he'd brought. "I'll thank him as well."

Dwen nodded, accepting... and then Jan made a quick escape with the bundle.

If Vermont was going to keep raising funds by sending Dwen off to model for fashion magazines... Jan wanted to see!
