"Guess what I bought!"

Mila blinked. She wasn't even halfway in the door yet, but there was Tina with a wide smile on her face and a plastic cup in her hand.

Oh, she'd seen Tina's car on her way in, so Tina herself wasn't a surprise.

Mila shuffled her gym bag to take the cup and look at the fizzy soda inside.

"I got one of those soda-makers, so I can experiment with flavors. Then I'm gonna have my own brand of soda," Tina declared. "I don't have one of those yet."

Mila took a sip.

Tina tasted good.
