Emma smiled in the darkness as she lifted the edge of the blankets on Baileysh's bed. She'd already slipped from her nightclothes, leaving them pooled on the floor near the door.

When she won the night's battle, which she would, she wouldn't need them again til morning. Then she could steal one of Baileysh's robes anyway, once she was done lingering beside him.

"Emma..."

"Who else?" she asked as she crawled into the bed. "I'm a little cold, that's all..."

Emma was not, at all. But she pressed herself close and then leaned to kiss him.

And again, she won.
