Lucifer folded his wings carefully as he sat down beside the fire. Across from him, visible above the low flames and hot coals, the Knight was dozing on a patch of grass with his cloak as a blanket.

It was late; Lucifer didn't mind taking a watch shift. Something was afoot. He never seemed to casually bump into the Knight, and he had not been surprised to learn they were chasing the same odd rumor.

There was a noise behind him, but Lucifer didn't move aside from gesturing Azazel forward.
