The sun had long dipped below the horizon by the time Noel's Magitek armor set foot in the town, but they'd finished the task they needed to. Lasswell had no complaints about how the day had gone; they'd been efficient and nobody had been hurt. It had all just taken awhile anyway. Sometimes that happened.

They could make their reports and trades in the morning. The inn already had rooms ready for them. Lasswell stretched, in his seat beside Noel, before glancing back to where Minwu and Noctis sat.

Minwu had the groups pet gil snapper on his lap, a hand resting on the jewels of its shell. Noctis was asleep, which did not surprise Lasswell at all.

Summoned Visions tended to have some trait or emotion emphasized, Lasswell knew. Often, it had to do with a regret or strong feeling tied to the point the Vision was summoned from, especially if it was after their death...

At first, Lasswell wondered if Noctis napped for a related reason, but no, it had nothing to do with his being a Vision.

Minwu stroked the gil snapper's shell.

"Should I wake him?" he asked, quietly, before nodding in Noctis's direction.

It was a good question. Noctis would and had slept quite soundly where he was. But they did have rooms ready, with warm beds and late suppers and they all probably needed a wash-up so...

"This time," Lasswell replied. Beside him, Noel chuckled.

Next time...

It would be a good question, again.
