Camilla leaned to look at the knife being shown to her, debating if she wanted to pluck it from its red velvet case and test it on her own skin. She was sure the shining black would cut cleanly and not even bleed.

"Yes," she said before another moment passed. "Gift-wrapped, please."

Aside from the black blade, the bone handle was exquisitely carved and set with a constellation of tiny garnets. It would be a fine gift for her beloved.

Coins changed hands quickly and she happily took her purchase.
