Peli gasped when he saw the door with the star on it, just as he'd remembered from childhood-

It was a shop but not a shop, one that only appeared when it was needed.

"Welcome." The shopkeeper's voice came from somewhere within. "Picking up?"

"Yes," Peli replied. As a child he'd paid two pieces of candy for the shop to store a few of his toys before his mother threw them away.

"Thank you for the candy," the shopkeeper said as he emerged from the back with a basket of toys.

Peli nodded and took the basket.

His daughter would be thrilled.
