Minew laughed, looking down at where the sea gently lapped along the beach.

"It's beautiful," he said, pausing a moment before glancing down at the sharp drop-off inches beyond his feet. "How do we get down there?"

"Jump." Sine smirked, pulling his cloak tight around his shoulders. "You won't get hurt."

"There aren't any shadows for you to dive through," Minew replied. "We're looking straight into the sun."

"Trust me," Sine said, reaching out to take Minew's hand. "I'm not capable of lying to you."

Knowing fully well that he had nothing to lose anyway, Minew gave Sine's hand a tight squeeze and then stepped forward, almost savoring the momentary weightlessness that gave way to a dizzying loss of self as Sine threw his cloak up and pulled them both into the shadow it created.

Almost embarrassingly, Minew was clinging tightly to Sine when they reappeared at the bottom of the cliff in the shadow of a lone sharp, jagged rock that protruded from the white sand. Sine's cloak landed beside them a second later and almost without thought, the Spectir pulled away from Minew's grasp to retrieve it.

"Show off..." Minew stammered, his shock turning to a wide grin.

"I've been telling you about this place for ten years," Sine said softly. "If I couldn't ever just bring you straight here, I did have to show off a little anyway."

"Show me more then," Minew said suddenly, grabbing the cloak away and pitching it down on the sand. "Show me what it's like to make love on your precious beach."

Sine didn't seem to be able to hold in the airy laugh that escaped his lips, not guarding himself from the assault of kisses his master offered.

By the time Minew claimed the Spectir's mist-born body, the sun was sinking into the sea, casting reds and oranges over the pair.

A much needed sunset on too many days of pain.
